TOTAL SURRENDER
I cast my cares on you Lord, sustain me and never let me fall. (Ps 55:22) Give me peace at all times and in every way. (2 Thess 3:16) May I be content with what you give me, whether it is much or little. (1 Tim 6:6)
Help me to obey your word and walk as Jesus walked, so that your love may be made complete in me. (1 John 2: 5-6) May I walk before you, Lord, in the light of life (Ps 56:13), truly loving my brother (1 John 2:10), and setting an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Tim 4:12-13) Give me a servant’s heart, ready to be a slave to others. (Mark 10:43-45)
Help me to flee from all harmful desires, and instead pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. I want to fight the good fight of the faith, taking hold of the eternal life to which I was called. May I keep your commands without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which you will bring about in your own time. (1 Tim 6:11-15)
Help me to be humble and contrite in spirit, that I might tremble at your word. (Isa 66:2) May I never boast except in the cross of my Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and me to the world. (Gal 6:14) Instead, may I boast about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Cor 12:9b)
Help me to be alert. Strengthen and protect all the saints. I pray that whenever I open my mouth you will give me words so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. (Eph 6:18) Encourage my heart and strengthen me in every good deed and word. (2 Thess 2:17) Direct my heart into your love and your son’s perseverance (2 Thess 3:5), so that I will never tire of doing what is right. (2 Thess 3:13) Help me to comfort those in trouble with the comfort I have received from you. (2 Cor 1:4)
Father, I set my mind to gain understanding and to humble myself before you. (Daniel 10:12) Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. (Ps 86:11) Help me to take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Cor 10:5)
I pray that I will not love the world, or anything in the world (1 John 2:15), but that you will help me to overcome the world. (1 John 5:4) Instead, help me to love you with all my heart, all my soul, and all my strength, and help me to love my neighbor as myself. (Mark 12:30-31)
May I always be joyful, praying continually and giving thanks in all circumstances.
(1 Thess 5:16-18) Help me to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly before you. (Micah 6:8) Whether I eat or drink or whatever I do, may I do it all for your Glory. (1 Cor 10:31) Help me to know the good I ought to do (James 4:7), and as I have opportunity help me to do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Gal 6:10)
Establish the work of my hands for me. (Ps 90:176) May I always seek justice, encourage the oppressed, defend the cause of the fatherless, and plead the case of the widow. (Is 1:17) I pray that I will not be timid, but that you will fill me with the spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline (1 Tim 2:7), that I might bear much fruit. (John 15:8)
I pray that you will equip me with everything good for doing your will, and that you will work in me what is pleasing to you, through Christ Jesus, to whom be glory for ever and ever. (Heb 13:20-21) Praise you Father! Thank you Jesus! Guide us Holy Spirit! Amen
