GIFTS AND FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT
Strengthen my Gifts, whether they be Prophesying, Serving, Teaching, Encouraging, Contributing, Leadership, or Showing Mercy. (Rom 12:6) Help me to make good use of the gifts you have given me to serve others. (I Peter 4:10) Fill me with knowledge and strengthen my faith. (I Cor 12:8) Give me the wisdom from heaven that is pure, peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. (James 3: 17)
Keep my spiritual fervor to serve you strong. May I be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. (Rom 12:11-12)
Fill me with Thanksgiving (Eph 5:4) and with the Fruits of Your Spirit (Gal 5:22):
Love – Fill me with your love so that I might love others as you love me, and your joy may be in me making my joy complete. (John 15:11-12) Give me a love that is patient and kind; a love that always protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres. (1 Cor 13:4-7) May I love not only with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3:18) Make my love so strong that I am ready to lay down my life for my brothers, just as Christ laid down his life for us. (1 John 3:16)
Joy – Lord, you have done great things for me, and I am filled with joy. (Ps 126:3) O God, my joy and my delight (Ps 43:4), satisfy me in the morning with your unfailing love, that I may sing for joy and be glad all my days. (Ps 90:14) For you make me glad by your deeds, O Lord; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. (Ps 92:4) Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. (Ps 119:111) May I know the inexpressible and glorious joy that comes from receiving the goal of my faith, the salvation of my soul (1 Peter 1:8), and may my joy in you be my strength.
(Neh 8:10)
Peace – May the peace of Christ rule in my heart, (Col 3:15) so that I may live in peace with everyone, (Heb 12:14) keeping the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Eph 4:2) May I be a peacemaker who sows in peace and raises a harvest of righteousness. (James 3:13-18)
Patience – Give me great endurance and patience (Col 1:11); in love (1 Cor 13:4); in dealing with others (1 Thess 5:14); and in waiting for you. (Ps 37:7)
Kindness – May I be kind and compassionate to everyone. (Eph 4:32) May I show to others the same kindness expressed to me in Christ Jesus (Eph 2:7), especially to the needy, the poor and the oppressed. (Pr 14:21, 19:17, Daniel 4:27)
Goodness – May I be eager to do what is good (Titus 2:14), and never grow weary of doing good. (Gal 6:9) May I live such a good life among unbelievers that, though they accuse me of wrong doing, they see my good deeds and glorify you on the day you visit us. (1 Peter 2:12)
Faithfulness – May I be faithful, even to the point of death (Rev 2:10), in all that I do, living only by faith in the Son of God (Gal 2:20), not by sight. (2 Cor 5:7)
Gentleness – May my gentleness be evident to all. (Php 4:5) May I be completely humble and gentle, bearing with others in love (Eph 4:2), and considering others better than myself. (Phil 2:3)
Self-control – May I live a self-controlled, upright and Godly life. (Tit 2:12) Help me to be wise and understanding, to live a good life, with deeds done in the humility that comes from your wisdom. (James 3:13)
Lord, I desire to do your will, and your law is within my heart. (Ps 40:8) I pray that you will keep this desire in my heart forever, and keep my heart forever loyal to you. (2 Chron 29:18)
I also pray that Jesus will find me ready when he returns. (Luke 12:40) Create in me a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. (Ps 51:10) Help me to be careful to lead a blameless life. (Ps 101:2)
